One week. One road. Survival depends on trust.

When a routine pickup turns into escorting a silent stranger with too many secrets, Lion — a professional courier — finds himself hunted across the country by forces far more ruthless than he imagined. With his freedom at stake, the only option is to keep moving. What begins as a job becomes a series of forced choices — and an unexpected bond that forms when survival depends on trust.

  • A short, immersive read

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Quiet Tension, Real Stakes

The danger comes from the outside, but the change happens inside. This is a story driven by choices, pressure, and consequence—not spectacle.

Short doesn’t mean small. Courier is a full story meant to be read in one sitting, without losing depth or impact.

There is no pause and no reset. Survival depends on trust, and every step forward makes turning back impossible.

READER FEEDBACK

A gripping and well-paced thriller that kept my attention from the very first chapter all the way to the end. It is hard to believe this is the author’s debut. The story is engaging, the suspense builds nicely, and the ending is satisfying. A very strong first book, and I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s an easy, smooth read, but it keeps you interested the whole time, and the ending definitely caught me off guard.
If you’re kind of over true-crime or romance books, this is a nice change. It’s about two young guys who get thrown into some pretty tough situations and have to figure out how to trust each other.
This is just the first book in the trilogy, and now I’m impatiently waiting for the next one.

I read this while flying from Halifax to Thunder Bay, and honestly the time flew by. This book kept me hooked, and I couldn’t stop until I got to the end. It’s an easy read, the pacing is good, and the ending surprised me.
Solid first book in the Onyx Effect series. Going to buy the second one!
